History of Dwyer's Irish Pub

Dwyer's Irish Pub was built in 1996 by an Irish company. The pub has a truly Irish style due to the fact that all the furnishings were imported from Ireland. The pub was officially opened in April 1996 and was the first Irish pub in Stalis and also in Crete.

Dwyer's Biographies

The pub is jointly owned by Shay Dwyer and George Drakoulakis. Shay was born in Dublin some time in the last century. He now lives in Germany where he owns a number of successfull irish pubs. George was born in Crete also in the 19th century. In the winter months he lives in Heraklion and in the summer can be found in Stalis managing the pub full-time.

Dwyer's Location

The pub is situated on the island of Crete, Greece more specifically in Stalis, a beach resort 30km from Heraklion. The pub can be found on the beach road in Stalis with the main shopping street on one side and the sea from the other.
